How should I care for my silk pieces?

To preserve their beauty for years to come, we recommend washing ALISA silk pieces by hand.

Use water below 30°C and a mild detergent formulated for delicate fabrics. Wash gently without rubbing or soaking for an extended period. Do not wring the garment. Instead, remove excess moisture with a towel, reshape it, and dry it in the shade in a well-ventilated area.

Please also follow the care label attached to each piece. If you are unsure, we recommend consulting a professional cleaner experienced in caring for silk.

Why is silk gentle on the skin?

Silk is a natural protein fiber composed of amino acids.

Its naturally smooth surface creates less friction against the skin and hair. Silk is also highly breathable and helps absorb and release moisture, maintaining a comfortable environment in every season.

Its soft, gentle feel makes it especially suited to garments and pillowcases that remain in close contact with the skin.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping within Japan is complimentary, except to remote islands, where a shipping fee of ¥1,000 applies.

International shipping is complimentary on orders of USD 1,000 or more. A flat shipping fee of USD 150 applies to international orders under USD 1,000.

Will I need to pay import duties?

ALISA covers the customs duties associated with international delivery. You will not be asked to pay additional customs duties when receiving your order.

Do you offer hemming?

Yes. Hemming is available for ¥1,500. Please let us know your preferred length when placing your order.

Hemming may not be available for every piece, so please contact us before ordering if you are unsure. Please also allow additional time before shipping for altered pieces.

Can my piece be repaired if it becomes torn or damaged?

We offer repair services to help you enjoy your ALISA pieces for as long as possible.

Please contact us with photographs showing the condition of the item. After reviewing the damage and the work required, we will let you know whether the repair can be provided free of charge or for a fee. Any applicable cost will be shared with you in advance.

Do you offer remake services?

Yes. We also accept remake requests so that a well-loved piece can continue to be enjoyed in a new form.

The available options depend on the condition, fabric, and design of the original piece. Please contact us, and we will review the item before proposing a suitable approach and providing an estimate.
